An 8.0 hour course for administrators, supervisors, training officers, PMK’s and instructors addressing the critical components of managing and reducing risk of injury and civil litigation by adopting a preventative training strategy. This course highlights the agency’s need to develop and implement a superior progressive training program involving, policies, methodology, training, remediation and evaluation of officers and other staff.
Course Topics Covered – contemporary case laws regarding training, supervision, performance evaluation, remediation and documentation of performance. Good vs. bad or negligent training. Policy development, identifying potential injuries before training, safety protocols, objective training guidelines, justification for training mandates; testifying in deposition and in court as your department’s Person Most Knowledgeable (PMK).
