This 8.0 hour class introduces the plainclothes officer to the functional and operational skills needed to safely carry and deploy a concealed handgun. Topics covered will include the legal and ethical considerations in the use of deadly force, how to dress for concealed carry, proper firearm and ammunition selection, and how to move, draw and accurately shoot a concealed carry handgun. Participants are introduced to scenarios including defensive shooting from a parked vehicle and in public places.
The Basic Tactical Pistol Course or other pre-approved training is a prerequisite for this class.
